Magic Number

 Much like "Froggy Times Writer Needed", this is a business card-sized game about paying attention to good things in everyday life. The player meets a stranger at a party who they have a good conversation with, but then loses the stranger's number. The magic that eventually helps them reconnect is in their ability to take interest and pleasure in the world around them.

It's always been a source of joy to me when I'm taking a walk and see other people walking their cute dogs. On a good day I might see 6, or even 8 dogs out with different owners. I know that because I like to count the dogs! I realised a while ago that being able to tell my partner I saw 3 dogs today just deepens my joy in those small encounters. This game is based on that entire experience of counting or mentally cataloguing cute dogs and then sharing what I've seen.

That's the experience I want players to be able to have from this game. It's also an even lighter format than "Froggy Times Writer Needed", because you only have to carry one card around with you, and there's no fixed time frame. On a very good day you might complete the entire card in one go. Or you could stretch it out and take as much time to finish it as you want. Either way, no time will be too soon, or too late. Whenever you complete it, the person you met at the party will be happy to hear about your daily adventures and everyday joys.
